We are delighted to announce the launch of the Sangwari Program – a Community Healthcare Entrepreneur (CHE) project in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, in association with Anamaya Tribal Health Collective (a unit of Piramal Swasthya) and Bastar Samajik Jan Vikas Samiti.

Our current batch of 16 Community Health Entrepreneurs will work to provide both supportive health services to the community.

The launch was marked by a small event showcasing the efforts of the Sangwaris, who have been trained in both technical and soft skills over the last few weeks. A short demonstration of the telemedicine services was also displayed to the community, and the Sangwaris received their first stipend earned as part of the program.

Over the next few weeks, the Sangwaris will begin to offer diagnostic testing facilities within their communities, shortly also integrating tele-consultation with doctors into their offering.
