We are delighted to announce the launch of the Sangwari Program – a Community Healthcare Entrepreneur (CHE) project in Chhattisgarh, in association with Anamaya Tribal Health Collective (a unit of Piramal Swasthya) and Bastar Samajik Jan Vikas Samiti .

The current batch of 18 Community Health Entrepreneurs across the Bastar district in Chhattisgarh will work to provide both curative and preventive health services to the community, and use technology / digital platforms to provide healthcare services in their communities.

The launch was marked by a small event showcasing the efforts of the Sangwaris, who have been trained in both technical and soft skills over the last few weeks. A short demonstration of the telemedicine services was also displayed to the community, and the Sangwaris received their first stipend earned as part of the program.

Over the next few weeks, the Sangwaris will begin to offer diagnostic testing facilities within their communities, shortly also integrating tele-consultation with doctors into their offering.
